Why TCPS?
Tennessee Christian Preparatory School offers students a unique educational environment. A few things you can expect include the following:
- TCPS has a low teacher-to-student ratio. Thanks to this low ratio, all students receive one-on-one attention to maximize their God-given potential.
- TCPS students, on average, completed national standardized tests with the ease of students three grade levels higher.
- TCPS offers advanced placement (AP) courses that provide the opportunity for college credit.
- TCPS offers basketball, volleyball, track, golf, cheerleading, soccer, softball, baseball, and other athletic opportunities.
- TCPS is integrating classical education into the school’s curriculum. Classical education is the most natural way for students to learn and requires students to take Latin and logic courses.
- TCPS’s graduating class of 2009 all went on to higher education, and each of these students earned scholarships to ease the financial burden of college.
- TCPS is accredited by the Tennessee Department of Education.
- TCPS accepts students of all races, economic backgrounds, and denominations.
- TCPS students currently represent more than 30 churches.
- TCPS students enjoy a close-knit community in a safe and caring environment, desire to pursue higher education, and seek to grow in a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
- TCPS has a meaningful Bible curriculum beginning at age 2, and all students attend weekly chapel beginning at age 2.
- TCPS offers a variety of after-school enrichment classes, such as bridge building, chess, and art. There is a student-led book club as well as student-led Bible studies.
- TCPS students wear uniform dress beginning in kindergarten. This uniformity helps students focus on academics.
- TCPS employs approximately 50 faculty and staff members.
