Performance Drama

Performance drama is a high school elective wherein students practice the various aspects of dramatic performing on stage. Emphasis includes plays, monologues, duo pieces, impromptus, and interpretative readings in poetry and prose.  This course also includes various aspects of stagecraft, including stage makeup, lighting, costuming, and set design.  The course culminates with the spring drama presented for family and friends of the school. Appropriate modern pieces of literature and classical comedies and dramas set the framework of study for the course content and springboard for its application.
