Psychology
This course is designed to introduce the upper level high school student to the major topics in general psychology. Students will study the leading theoretical models in psychology as well the historical trends which have led to these models. Among topics covered are development psychology, learning, abnormal psychology, personality theory, altered states of consciousness, and biological influences on behavior. An emphasis will be placed upon the integration of Christian faith into the discipline. In addition, a focus will be given to applying psychological principles to help students better understand themselves and others.
